Whilst the village of Alcaucin is well worth a visit, one of the most popular white wash villages is Frigiliana located above the tourist town of Nerja and just 40minutes from La Roca, whatever the season, take a half day to visit this beautiful village.

Our nearest Coastal Resort of Torre del Mar offers a large beach with water activities. Take some time to explore the town itself, very much a Spanish working town that benefits from dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars. Thursday is market day, the town doesn't focus on tourism, it gives an insight into Spanish life.
BREATHTAKING VIEWS
Whilst Torre del Mar is a typical working Spanish town, in the peak of summer it is also one of the most popular spots for Spanish tourists visiting from the north of the country, and many other european nationalities too. In the Peak season there is a nightly market along the promenade. Explore the Alcaucin Valley, Climb Mount Maroma, Visit the Zafarraya Pass, Walk the Natural Park. Every where you turn there are stunning views and walks.

ART AND ARCHITECTURE
Spend a day in historic Malaga, ride the city sightseeing open top busses, vist the bull ring, the cathederal, see the art in the birthplace of the Picasso, tour the Pompidou Centre. There is so much to explore.

Water Parks aren't just for kids, the adults can play too! With Aqua Velis just 15 minutes away, and Aqua Land (the Costa del Sols largest water park) just 1 hour by car, along with several other water parks along the coast, why not take a splash.
WEEKEND BEACH FESTIVAL 2019
Now approaching it's 6th year, the annual Beach Festival takes over the festival end of the beach and see's some 40,000 people attend for the event. 2018 was opened by David Guetta. This years festival is 3rd to 6th July.
Air Show
The annual Torre del Mar Airshow arrives in the town from 12th to 14th July 2019. The show will see some 300,000 people across the weekend coming to watch the spectacle. The event is free to all and is attended by people from around the world.
FERIA ( FAIR) SANTIAGO and SANTA ANA
Every year Torre del Mar plays host to the largest fair in the region. With hundreds of fair ground rides and attractions it also see's processions. The fair operates day and night and the lights alone are a sight to see. Held in the last week of July annually.
